Platform plans

The platform plan is the hive subscription: Studio, Team, or Enterprise. It covers seats and product features. A new hive starts on a 14-day trial of everything Team includes, then you subscribe to Studio or Team.

AI settings (provider, key, model tier, token cap) live under that plan. They are not a second product and not a second invoice. If someone on the team says “what’s our AI plan?”, they mean AI settings — or they mean the platform plan. There is no third thing. Every plan pays its own model provider.

Managers change the plan under Organization settings → Platform plan. See Billing for Checkout, the trial, and seats. Enterprise is not Checkout — use Talk to us on that card.

The trial is full Team for 14 days so you can try chat, Ask, automations, Drive, and the support desk on real work. After that, Studio is the agency day-to-day. Automations, Drive, the support desk, and agent writes stay on Team. Enterprise is the same product as Team on a contract — custom invoice, seat terms, and onboarding. Paste a provider key on any plan before anyone relies on AI.

Monday import and agent-driven import stay ungated on purpose: moving onto InHive is not an upsell.

Every hive brings its own provider key. InHive does not run your completions on a platform key.

Managers set provider, key, tier, and the monthly token limit in AI settings. The cap stops the hive when the UTC month is used up; you still pay your provider for what was used. Empty uses the plan default. 0 pauses AI. There are no overage packs and no metered AI SKU. Managers get an alert at 80% of the cap.

If a feature is greyed out with an upgrade prompt, that is the platform plan, not a missing API key.

Stripe bills per active member on Studio and Team. Accepting an invite and deactivating someone both sync the quantity. Enterprise seat terms are part of the contract.

If a paid hive falls behind, or the trial ends without a subscription:

  1. Invitations stop immediately (past due) or paid features stop (trial ended / cancelled).
  2. AI keeps a short grace window on past-due, then pauses.
  3. Existing members stay. You are not locked out of tasks, documents, or time.
